My-Villa is tucked into the hillside above Le Rayol,
25 km from St. Tropez and 13 km from Le Lavandou. Few properties command such dramatic sea views.
The steeply terraced grounds leave uninterrupted views to Le Rayol, Le Lavandou and the islands
of Hyères, yet the location offers easy access to the night-life of St. Tropez or if you
prefer, the more restful coastal villages.
With a backcloth of wooded hillsides and sea views, Le Rayol enjoys a micro climate ensuring
summer breezes and winter warmth.
Le Rayol itself offers you a supermarket which is open seven days a week in the summer months,
a chemist, post office, a convivial bar and several restaurants. In addition there is a butcher,
baker, newsagent, florist, hairdresser, filling station and a shop that sells swim wear - just
about all one needs for a perfect holiday. You can also play tennis at the local tennis clubs in
the area. Most of these facilities are within an easy walk from the villa and the beach is a
leisurely 1.5 km walk from the villa. There are two 18 hole golf courses within a half hour
drive of the villa and a third is situated forty minutes away.

Designed and built by a local architect in 1991. It offers stylish architecture, dramatic
sea views from almost every room and every comfort you would expect in a fully equipped
and carefully furnished home.

5 bedrooms sleeping 10 (+2 on a double sofa bed).
All bedrooms are equipped with a modern, efficient and very quiet air conditioning system.
The system works on a heat pump principle, ensuring comfortable nights, even at the hottest
times of the year.
There are four double bedrooms, all with very comfortable double beds with firm mattresses
(no back problems for those with sensitive backs). There is one twin bedroom with single
beds, again with firm mattresses. A cot is available for our smaller guests and there is
also a high chair.
Three of the double bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom facilities, whilst the fourth
double bedroom and the twin bedroom share a separate
bathroom. Four of the bedrooms have magnificent views over the Mediterranean,
whilst the fifth (bedroom 4) looks out over a large terrace to the garden at the side of the
villa, which is terraced in natural stone walls. All bedrooms have easy access to the pool
area.
Bedroom 5, at the far end of the villa, has an adjacent living room, the den, which together
comprise the master bedroom suite of 36 sq.m. The den is furnished with a leather sofa bed,
which offers comfortable sleeping for two (the double mattress is supported on wooden
lattes). The den offers a private room for sleeping an extra two people. It may also be
used as a nursery for a younger child or baby, with the convenience of being immediately
next door to bedroom 5.
Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. Please bring your own beach/pool
towels as these are not provided.

The villa is cleverly designed as split level with the entrance hall at the highest level,
from where you descend via a curving flight of stairs to the principal living area of the
villa, comprising salon/lounge/dining room. Here you have the choice of two seating areas,
both very comfortably furnished. The salon is one of the striking features of the villa.
It has a vaulted ceiling, giving great height to the room and attractive moulded plaster
work. The salon is furnished with cane seating further enhancing the feeling of light and
space which this area promotes.
The salon leads into the lounge, which has an open fireplace, colour television, stereo
system, video recorder and a DVD player. French windows lead onto the terrace, providing
views over the pool, to the Islands of Hyères and beyond to Le Lavandou.
The dining room is open plan, on a level above the lounge. It offers seating for ten
people around a magnificent granite table. Like the lounge, this room offers superb views
over the Mediterranean and gives access via two sets of French windows to either covered
or open terraces.
At the far end of the villa, separate from the principal living area, there is the den,
a second living room adjacent to bedroom 5, which together comprise the master bedroom
suite. This has a leather suite, a coffee table and a desk, providing a sanctuary offering
the choice between peaceful relaxation or a quiet place to do some work.

The kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, ceramic hob, micro wave, fridge freezer and
dishwasher. Access to the utility room with washing machine and drinks refrigerator. Access
to the covered terrace with outside dining suite with seating for 10 or 12 people.

The villa is set in grounds of approximately 5000 sq.m. (1.25 acres). The garden is
terraced with a flight of steps leading from the sun terraces outside the lounge and
bedrooms, down to the adjacent pool area. The 11m x 4.5m pool is chemical chlorine free,
with a fully automatic electrolytic filtration system. This produces pristine water conditions,
gentle on your skin and with no chlorine sting to the eyes. The pool has underwater lighting
for those romantic dips, with spot lights illuminating the terraced areas.
For the safety of young children, the
pool area is
enclosed and gated.
There are extensive terraces, some where you can enjoy the full heat of the day,
or if you prefer, adjacent to the kitchen and dining room there is a covered terrace with
additional electrically operated blind, providing welcome respite for those that prefer
some shade. In front of the covered terrace is an area encircled by cork oaks, a wonderful
setting for a lazy afternoon - chilled bottle of rosé in the wine bucket, the latest
bestseller to hand, dappled
sunlight filtering through the foliage ….. perfect. The sun terrace outside the
lounge is fitted with a second electrically operated blind.
Outside the bedroom area at the far end of the villa there is an extensive (64 m2) terrace
providing a mixture of shade and sunlight, surrounded by a garden area terraced in natural
stone and planted with fruit trees and shrubs.
A barbecue and Triconfort poolside and garden furniture are supplied. Please bring your own
beach towels, as these are not provided.
Due to the steep terracing, we ask you to consult us if you wish to bring children between
the ages of 1-5 years. This is not normally a problem, children have a fabulous time here at
My-Villa. We just like to discuss this with you first.

For two cars*. There is also space for two cars on the drive outside the garage.

A safe is provided+ and the villa is alarmed.

Internet access: you have at your disposal our very fast (up to 10 Megabits per sec)
fully unlimited and unmetered Internet access, with WiFi router. To enjoy Internet access
please bring your own laptop.
Telephone: we receive itemized bills. You pay only for your personal use. There is a VoIP
telephone system at My-Villa (calls via the Internet), which offers you free telephone
calls to more than 40 countries. This means that in reality your call charges will be zero.
Free calls are available to fixed lines (normal numbers only, specifically
excluding premium rate, short form numbers or special numbers) in these countries:

A security payment of €1000 is payable two weeks before your arrival at the villa.
We reserve the right to charge for damage to the villa and/or its contents. In the event of
no damage the security payment is refunded, less the cost of telephone calls made. Your
liability for damage is not capped at €1000 and we reserve the right to claim for all
damages, no matter what the amount. We recommend that you consider holiday insurance that
covers you for damage.
The villa is heated with a wood burning open fire and warm air provided by the reversible
heat pump climate control (air conditioning) system. During the winter months, a charge will
be made for electricity (and any logs burned), although the warm air heating runs at
approximately 450% efficiency (1 KW of electrical power input provides approximately 4.5 KW
of heating). Because of its micro climate, Le Rayol rarely experiences frosts or freezing
temperatures. Outside of the winter months (April to October inclusive), the price of the
villa rental includes use of electricity. The price of the villa rental includes water
consumption all year round.

Please note:
* We try to avoid storing personal items in the garage that would preclude
simultaneous garaging of two cars. However, we reserve the right without warning to
provide garage space for only a single car, should our personal circumstances dictate
this. In such a case, there will be no reduction to the rental price. If garage space
for two cars is essential to you, please contact us to verify the situation.
